Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I am excited to welcome both new and returning families to another incredible year at Big Walnut Intermediate. It is a privilege to continue serving as your principal, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such an outstanding staff, amazing students, and supportive families.
At Big Walnut Intermediate, we believe every student has the ability to learn, grow, and make a positive difference. Our goal is to create a school where every child feels safe, valued, challenged, and inspired each day. We are committed to providing meaningful learning experiences that help students build confidence, strengthen character, and discover their unique talents.
The partnership between home and school is one of the greatest strengths of our community. Thank you for trusting us with your children and for the many ways you support their success. Whether you attend school events, volunteer, stay connected with your child's learning, or simply encourage them each day, your involvement makes a lasting impact. Together, we can help every student reach their full potential.

Dear Big Walnut Intermediate Families,
It is my true privilege and honor to join the Big Walnut community this year as your Assistant Principal. I am thrilled to become a part of this wonderful building after serving across a variety of educational roles in school leadership, research, and the classroom over the past 24 years.
Throughout my career, my heart and passion have always been centered on building strong, trusting relationships and supporting both students and adults in reaching their full potential. I believe deeply that every child is a unique learner with individual gifts, strengths, and perspectives. As an administrator, I am committed to empowering our teachers, leveraging evidence-based practices, and creating an inclusive, supportive environment where every student feels safe, valued, and challenged to grow.
Education is a shared journey, and I look forward to partnering closely with our dedicated staff, vibrant families, and inspiring students. I am so excited to jump in, get to know each of you, and work together for an incredible school year!
